I truly believe...

"It is not what you do for your children but what you have taught them to do for themselves that will make them successful human beings." – Ann Landers

  1. I totally agree! While working with children it’s critical to understand the impact we play on their future endeavors.

  3. I really love this quote! While working with high school students, I was able to assist them with how to complete a job application, as well as how they were supposed to dress for an interview. I did not have to teach those students those skills, but I believe it was something that they needed assistance with. It always great to hear them say everything that I taught them was helpful.

  4. Lacy In the Montessori world self help and taking care of the self is the first skill children learn. Whether it is to tie their own shoes or to zip up the coat or wash their own hands. Independence is this first and formost thing we seek befor we teach acedemics. This area of the classroom is called Practical Life or Everyday LIving.
